Reem Sameer Shaikh was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Reem Shaikh started her acting profession at the age of six in the movie Neer Bhare Tere Naina Devi. She later appeared as Rimjhim in the program Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha and as Mishri in the program Diya Aur Baati Hum. She rose to distinction after playing young Kaurwaki, Emperor Ashoka's wife, in Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat, alongside Siddharth Nigam.
