Surendra Kumar Singh born on 1st October 1978 is a great Indian long-distance runner who competed in the 10,000 metres at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. He finished 26th in the competition. With speeds of 7:50.31 minutes and 28:02.89 minutes, he owns the Indian records for the 3000 metres and 10,000 metres, respectively.  At the 2006 Asian Games, he participated for his country in the 5000 m and 10,000 m, finishing sixth in both distances.
