A 6x Magnification Periscope Lens Is Reportedly Coming To The iPhone 15 Pro Max

According to rumors, the iPhone 15 Pro Max will soon have a periscope lens with a 6x magnification.

Innovations have continually been produced by Apple. The Cupertino-based tech company has added cutting-edge technologies to its smartphones and computing gadgets in an effort to provide its customers with the finest user experience.

Apple fans can’t wait for the company to reveal information on the hotly anticipated iPhone 14 series this year. There is a lot of buzz about the new line-up, particularly because there have been various leaks concerning its specifications and design.

Even before Apple made any formal announcements regarding the iPhone 14, rumors indicated significant changes for the iPhone 15 series. The tech giant may be preparing its supply chain to include a periscope lens in the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models, according to a recent report.

As of right now, it appears that the two most expensive iPhone 15 models will be the only ones with periscope cameras. However, rumors claim that Apple intends to integrate it into all of its upcoming iPhone 16 series devices.

The periscope camera will have a 6X magnification and a 12MP 1/3 sensor for shift stabilization, claims renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. In earlier reports, the identical camera module was mentioned with a 5X magnification. iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max currently have 3x lenses. In essence, this means that the iPhone 15 Pro duo will be able to magnify two times.

Larger camera hardware is added to the top-tier iPhone every year. Periscope cameras, in the opinion of tech analysts, also suggest that camera modules may require additional space to accommodate them. Therefore, the 6.1-inch iPhone Pro might not be the right size. For the time being, it is thought that Apple would maintain the 6.1-inch size for its Pro model. Apple’s implementation of this significant camera improvement is still to be seen.
