Twitter owner Elon Musk tweeted yesterday that he is putting a hold on relaunching blue tick pricing. He further added that there is more work needed to be done as there are many fake accounts. Also, the relaunch will witness different blue tick colors for organizations and individuals. “Holding off the relaunch of Blue Verified until there is high confidence in stopping impersonation. Will probably use different color checks for organizations than individuals.”
Elon Musk, a popular businessman lately, announced that Twitter users with a blue tick will have to pay the app 8 dollars per month. This is the latest change in Twitter’s verification. Making it different from the old rules, now blue tick is not only offered to notable accounts but it will be only allowed to subscribed users paying $8 every month.
This is not it, and blue tick members also have additional benefits. It gives users half the ads priority in tweet replies, mentions, and searches. In addition, these users will also have access to post long videos, audio, and others. The new change is a way to grab many creators to the subscriptions.
While the pricing may differ in different regions, Elon Musk’s tweet suggests that the monthly amount for membership in India can be less than $8, which means Rs 661.
