Telegram is now a popular social media app as it appears to be more convenient when sharing images or videos when chatting as it does not take up too much memory space. Telegram has literally become a lifesaver. Each app has different features and options. Deleting the unwanted files to free up your memory is what all of us do. Clearing the unwanted media helps your device function properly.
Though telegram is now widely used, there are people who are unaware of some features of the app. Here are a few steps that will help you delete media from the cache on telegram.
1. Open your telegram app. Tap on the hamburger icon in the top left corner and click on settings.
2. Now, select the data and storage, and click on storage usage to access the media settings.
3. You can make adjustments as per your choices and delete any of your unwanted files.
The first option is Keep Media in the Storage Usage. When you click on Clear Cache, you can select the type of media you want to delete like music, photos, videos, or even other files. You can also see how much memory space will be freed after deleting the files.
If you are an IOS user, you can repeat the steps for each individual chat.
How to delete a single chat on telegram:
1. Open the app.
2. Open the chat where you want to delete the media from.
3. Hold the image, video, or any other file.
4. Click on the trash bin icon in the top right corner of the screen.
5. You can also delete the file for both of you.
