When you delete something, it usually just goes away. Instagram, on the other hand, saves all of your stuff, even if you delete it, so you might be able to get it back. Instagram’s long-awaited Recently Deleted feature, which allows users to browse and retrieve deleted photos, was finally released in February 2021.
In order to prevent hackers from permanently removing or restoring deleted posts, the new feature incorporates additional verifications. Deleted photos, videos, reels, IGTV videos, and stories are relocated to the Recently Deleted section of your account. Deleted stories that aren’t in your archive will stay in the folder for up to 24 hours. After 30 days, all other information will be destroyed.
To access your deleted content within those 30 days, go to Settings > Account > Recently Deleted in the Instagram app’s latest version. From there, you have the option of restoring it or deleting it entirely. Learn how to access Instagram’s “Recently Deleted” section by following the steps below. From Google Play or the App Store, get the latest version of Instagram.
Go to your Profile, after you’ve launched the app. To get to Settings, use the hamburger menu in the upper right corner. Choose Account from the drop-down menu, then the new Recently Deleted option. You can now permanently delete or restore the post. Tap Restore to restore your deleted posts.
