In today’s tech world, the Google Pixel 6a is a hot issue. Camera comparison with the Nothing Phone (1) and iPhone SE 2022, as well as a performance test, have garnered attention for this Pixel smartphone. We recently revealed that Amazon was offering the Pixel 6a for a lower price without a guarantee. We’ll examine the Google Pixel 6a’s durability test results from YouTuber Zack from JerryRigEverything, who used his customary scratch, burn, and bend test to gauge the significance of the one-year brand warranty.
The smartphone is put through a Scratch test on its OLED panel, which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. This display ensures level 7 scratches on the Mohs scale, while the fingerprint scanner, which has a security hole, still functions normally despite being subjected to the same abuse. The display remains stable under a lighter’s flame for ten seconds until the pixels begin to turn white.
Next, Zack’s razor blade and the Google Pixel 6a face off. The device’s buttons are plastic, but its sides are made of metal. The lens of the camera receives the same treatment while the remainder of the frame succumbs. The Youtuber uses a razor to draw a giraffe to demonstrate that, in contrast to the Google Pixel 6 Pro’s glass panel, this Pixel smartphone has a plastic body at the back.
Now, Zack’s hands are pressing against the Pixel 6a. It doesn’t flex much when bent from the front. All is well thus far. However, applying pressure from the back causes the display to struggle to stay attached to the body as it begins to lift slightly, but no breaks were seen.
