Young lad Gaurav Alugh, who has earlier been part of Roadies Season 13, entered MTV Splitsvilla XI as a wild card contestant. Post his entry, he partnered with former Roadies Xtreme contestant Shruti Sinha. The best friend Jodi went on to become strong competitors for the fellow contestants. Today, the two were crowned as the winners of MTV Splitsvilla XI.
Talking about his winning moment, Gaurav said, “Winning MTV Splitsvilla XI means a lot to me. I was part of Roadies and I reached the finale but did not win the title hence that winning happiness was missing from my life. I was once told by Karan Kundra that only the winner of the game is remembered. I wanted to be remembered as a winner hence I entered MTV Splitsvilla XI with the goal of winning it. There was more pressure on me as I was a wild card contestant. I had to build connections and be in the game.”
Gaurav turned Shruti’s support post Rohan Hingorani’s exit, when asked about the same, he averred, “Rohan and Shruti were performing brilliantly together. I entered the show as the wild card. It was emotionally as well as mentally challenging for me as I had to survive in the game. I was a new comer so had no connections too. Other contestants already had their partner. My best friend Shruti was also playing with her boyfriend Rohan. My ex Samyuktha Hegde was also part of the show, however, I was sure that I did not wanted to play the game with her. Amidst all girls, Monal came to me and started building a connection. It was so sweet of her. I was also considering her but before we could play together, she was eliminated from the game. Although it was a tough fight but my vision and motto was clear hence I could achieve the goal.”
