Sony SAB’s Tera Yaar Hoon Main show recently witnessed a new entry Nitin Chauhaan, who plays the role of Daljeet’s childhood friend, Jimmy. The young actor is known for his work in Friends ‑ Conditions Apply and SuperCops vs Supervillains.
The show is witnessing Rajeev (Ssudeep Sahir) and Daljeet’s (Sayantani Ghosh) marriage. Amidst it, Jimmy arrives to attend Daljeet’s wedding. But there’s a lot more to Jimmy than it appears on the surface. Jimmy, a rich influential young man, while being Daljeet’s childhood buddy is also in love with her and he is set to crash the wedding and profess his love for Daljeet.

Tell us about your experience shooting for Tera Yaar Hoon Mai?
My shooting experience so far has been nice. It is lovely working with director Pushkar Pandit and other crew members. Jimmy’s portrayal is a little bit like Nitin, the person I was during my teenage days. I can connect myself to Jimmy’s character which makes my shooting experience all the more delightful.
What made you select this show and character?
I always wanted to be an entrepreneur and started my journey of entrepreneurship with Baskin Robbins and a Salon n Spa of my own brand named Artistry. I decided not to take projects meanwhile and concentrate on my entrepreneurship skills. Acting has always been my passion. After setting up my entrepreneurship journey, I actively started exploring acting options and then that’s how I got to know about this character. I thought of restarting my acting journey with Jimmy as it’s a peppy character to live with on-screen.
The show will focus on a love triangle soon, so what can fans look forward to?
Fans can look forward to a lot of twists and turns between the relationship of Rajeev and Daljeet. Jimmy is an interesting character who aims to draw lots of attention and creates a lot of drama, laughs, and twists in the show.
How was your working experience with Sayantani Ghosh and other co-stars?
It is amazing working with both Sayantani, Ssudeep paaji and other co-actors. There is always a scope to progress, to observe and learn from other co-actors. At the same time, it’s an immense pleasure to work with a large team where there is so much to learn from each other.
How difficult it is to shoot away from the family during this pandemic?
It was a tough call to make as I was apprehensive. But the arrangements and setup of the team is super hygienic and amazing. All my apprehensions were eliminated once I reached here.

Jimmy as a character has given me the confidence to explore new ventures. I am going forward with different kinds of characters and roles. I would want them to support me in this new journey. I would like to say… stay blessed and stay strong.
