I was always supposed to return to Krishna Chali London, but it got delayed: Gaurav Sareen

Lady Luck seems to be a bit miffed with talented actor Gaurav Sareen, who gained name and fame with the Star Plus show, Krishna Chali London. For, he was eased out of the show mid-stream and Karan Vohra entered as the new male lead opposite Megha Chakraborty.

Clarifying the situation, Gaurav says, “I was not asked to go at a week’s notice, as it was said back then. Rather, we were talking about my exit for a while, as they wanted to introduce newer elements. I really enjoyed playing my innocent Kanpuriya character, Radhe Lal Shukla, which was loved by one and all.”

Here he added, “I was confidentially told that my character would make a comeback soon. But eventually it took a while for that track to develop, and by then I had already signed Udaan (Colors), so could not re-join.”

“So then the makers had to bring in the fake Radhe angle as the story had to go on. I guess the new track did not click, hence the show is shutting down.”

Interestingly though, Udaan too did not work out for Gaurav, who quit the show due to creative differences (we had written about it). It was also alleged that there were some payment issues. Subsequently, Udaan too has been given marching orders.

We hope that going ahead, Gaurav does not have to face any more similar unfortunate situations.
