Zee TV’s soon-to-be-launched fiction offering Kaleerein is a story about asserting one’s individuality while raising questions about the need to make compromises before stepping into marriage. Set against the backdrop of Punjab, the show delves into the life of Meera, a small-town girl, who does not believe in the concept of bride grooming schools that are mushrooming all over the region; schools that prescribe a bucket-list of must-have qualities for a bride to land the perfect groom. While newbie Aditi Sharma is debuting as Meera, handsome hunk Arjit Taneja is stepping into the role of the male protagonist Vivaan Kapoor.
An NRI hailing from London, Vivaan is a shrewd businessman who hates travelling to India. He also has a very arrogant demeanour and is mean to everyone he crosses paths with barring his sister. But, at the end of the day, Vivaan prioritizes fitness and likes to look good – whether in terms of his lifestyle or even his clothing! For actor Arjit Taneja, last seen in Zee TV’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, Kaleerein and Vivaan’s character is a very special outing. The actor had taken a break from Indian television to undertake some personal assignments in Indonesia for 8-10 months. Now that he is back in Mumbai and raring to go, Arjit reveals that he bagged the role of Vivaan on the first go. And, with the promos of the show currently on-air, Arjit reveals a relatively unknown fact about his character; the actor has styled his own look!
Commenting on this, Arjit said, “Vivaan is an NRI from London with a very modern approach to life. He likes to stay fit and maintain a healthy lifestyle, and is always seen sporting smart formal clothes. As a person, even before I turned to acting, I have always taken interest in my own styling. When I started researching for Vivaan’s character and understanding the intricacies of his personality, I was able to visualize how Vivaan should ideally look and shared my inputs with the team. We worked together to come up with the final look and I am really happy with the outcome. I hope the audience will also be able to relate to my look and connect with Vivaan’s character on Kaleerein.”
Kaleerein is all set to go on-air starting 5th February 2018, every Monday to Friday at 7:30 PM on Zee TV
