Talented senior actor Abhinav Kapoor has had a great run with the Balaji Telefilms show on Sony TV, Bade Achhe Laggte Hain 2. He has had a good graph in the role of Vikrant. His recent track of love and marriage in the show has won hearts.
In a candid chat with IWMBuzz.com, Abhinav talked about his journey with the show.

Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 has had a good run. How has your journey been with the show?
Yes, the audience has really liked the show and has accepted all of us. We are all grateful to the viewers. My journey in the show has been wonderful. I met a great bunch of people in Nakuul, Disha, Shubhavi, Ajay, Alefia. They are amazing to work with. I have enjoyed every bit of it. I am sure I will have a great time in future too.
How do you feel TV’s changing tracks (as per ratings) have benefitted or affected an actor’s growth? How has your track been for you in the show?
Changing tracks in TV has benefited the rating always. I believe any newness in what is being offered, gets liked by viewers. The format on TV is like that; tracks come and go. There is a freshness added to the tracks to keep viewers interested. As for my character, I have had a good run.
Vikrant’s ongoing track has garnered all interest. Tell us about this new phase in the character’s life.
Vikrant’s track has been going good. When a project is being made, there is a brief given to an actor. I knew what is coming from day one. I am happy to get the love and adulation of fans. You grow more beautifully as an actor when you love the work you do; this has happened for me in this show. This track has garnered a lot of interest. Credit goes to the directors, producers, co-actors and writers. It has been a beautifully developed story. I am a fan of our writers.
What do you think is the secret to sustenance as a performer in today’s tough competitive ambience? Take us through your thoughts.
The secret to doing well as a performer lies in the extent to which you stay relaxed during your work. One needs to be real as an actor. This will win more hearts and will look relatable.
What has been the most gratifying moment for you on the set of Bade Achhe?
Every day on the set is gratifying. As I said, I work with an amazing bunch of people. If I have to point out one aspect, it will be the birthday that I celebrated on the set. All the crew and cast made it a special moment for me.
Do you believe television needs an upliftment in terms of better concepts?
Television is a broad and wide medium which caters to all sects of people. Every kind of content needs to be made on TV. Every show turns out to look similar after a point of time. So there is certainly the need to do something unique on TV. If this repetitive content on TV is stopped, it will cater to more and more sects of people.
How would you describe your chemistry with Alefia in the show?
My chemistry with Alefia in the show is phenomenal. A reason for this is that we have a great friendship off the camera. We enjoy every moment that we shoot together; we put in hard work during our scenes. Working with her is very easy. She is a very well-behaved and poised girl. I look forward to doing scenes with her.
Any new project up your sleeve at the moment?
There are one or two projects I am working on. They are not finalized as of now. But yes, some big news could be announced from my end. For now, I am very busy with Bade Achhe Laggte Hain.
