Mishkat Varma looks amazing in his rustic street-smart look in Star Plus’ new show Anandibaa aur Emily. The show produced by Optimystix has a desi and videsi connect with the leading girl being played by Jazzy Ballerini.
Mishkat who looks a trendsetter in this new look states, “Aarav is a small town guy, with a rustic look. I have been given bright coloured shirts. I have grown my hair pretty long for the role.”
Talking about his character, Mishkat explains, “Aarav is a Maa ka Laadla. He is a pampered guy. Aarav’s dream is to go to America and get settled there. He believes that he is made for bigger things, that will happen to him in the USA. However, he does not want to upset his mother too.”
“Aarav sees Emily as the way to go to America. At the same time, he does not want to be mean to her and hurt her. He feels guilty too for using Emily only to go to the USA. The start has been nice for us,” he adds.
Talking about the USP of the plot of Anandibaa aur Emily, Mishkat avers, “Nowadays, every television show has a story plot wherein the leading man hates women, or he happens to be a rich filthy businessman. Every story has a typical plot of love and drama. Ours is a light-hearted feel-good show. We do not have the ridiculous drama shown in every show.”
Talking about Jazzy Ballerini, Mishkat says, “She is commendable, she has been groomed for the show. She has been here for a year now, she learnt the language for the show. She is a complete natural in front of the camera.
As for the expectations, “I don’t want to expect anything. I want to keep my expectations low. I want the show to do well.”
