Talented and youth icon Shantanu Maheshwari is eagerly waiting for the finale of Colors’ Khatron Ki Khiladi which will be shot in Mumbai.
“Rather than worrying too much about the stunts, I am more eager to meet the entire gang again. We really jelled well together pepping up each other.”
Talking about the boy bonding he says, “Guys don’t really need time to connect. If we have any issue, we say it up front. So I and the other guys Karan (Wahi), Rithvik ( Dhanjani) and Manveer (Gurjar) really hit it off well.”
What about the girls? “Well, it took me some time to break the ice as I am a shy guy, but yes soon we all were enjoying each other’s company. We also partied and went shopping since there was lot of rest time between stunts, we really had an opportunity to get to know each other which helped to develop above mentioned camaraderie. This bonding reflects on screen.”
The ratings of KKK this season is impressive and the reason being, Shantanu says, “I guess we have the right casting. Luckily there was no bad blood despite the tough face off, which could have vitiated the atmosphere.”
Looking ahead, he is open to doing different kind of shows both fiction and nonfiction. “I did not take part just to make an impact or to net more stuff. I took up the show for I really wanted to challenge my own fears. I always knew that the level of difficulty would go notches up as the competition became tougher. So as they say when the going gets tough, the tough gets going, I decided to girdle up mentally and go for the kill as that was the reason I was in Spain in the first place.”
So who was the toughest to compete? “At first I thought that would be Rithvik bhai and Geeta Phogat , but later came to realize that one cannot really judge as each has his/her own set of respective strengths and weakness. And you never know who will do his/her best on a given day, so would say all.”
We wish him all the best.
