Supermodel Altamash Faraz who has been crowned the 2nd Runner up in Mr India 2016, is immensely happy on bagging his first acting project with Yeh Hai Chahatein the Star Plus show produced by Balaji Telefilms. Altamash has been brought into the show as the new guy opposite to Sargun Kaur Luthra.
Says Altamash, “I have been wanting to get into acting for the past one or two years. But I was not getting the kind of role that I was looking for. I have done a lot of music videos and commercials, but nothing till now as an actor. The character of Armaan Thakur in Yeh Hai Chahatein is really amazing. He has a good graph and I was excited to be part of it. This is one character that every actor would love to take.”
Talking about his career and journey so far, Altamash recollects to say, “Everything in my life so far has been organic and transitional. I got into pageants and that was followed by modeling. But acting was something that I wanted to do for a long time. My main goal was however acting. Yeh Hai Chahatein is the first exciting project that I have got, and I am happy being a part.”
“Armaan Thakur is very sorted, positive. He has got all the qualities to look for in a perfect gentleman. He is an intelligent, caring, smart businessman who has a streak of music in him. This creative streak in him makes his character all the more interesting. He is also a passionate lover, very intense,” he says on the character.
“I am grateful that I have got to work during the lockdown. I am working with a great set of people, from the cast to the crew. It is a very happy environment on the set,” Altamash expresses.
Talking about the beautiful love triangle that has formed, he states, “The entry of Armaan into the life of Preesha has opened up a beautiful love triangle. Preesha and Armaan share a very genuine and decent bond. However, she has had a past with Rudraksh. So this past story makes it very engaging.”
On future plans, the model-turned actor says, “I don’t believe in strategizing my life. I will take it as it comes. I will only concentrate on working hard. I need to be honest to my craft and leave the rest to God.”
