Actor Mohit Malik made his acting debut in the year 2005, thereby going on to do various shows on television, participating in dance reality shows, and also hosting a show. His work in ‘Doli Armaano Ki’ was highly appreciated as was his portrayal of Sikander Singh Gill in ‘Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala’.
However, Mohit’s journey towards success and recognition did have its share of ups and downs. On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, Mohit gets talking about his life before his mentor walked in and changed it for the better.
“Atul Mongia is my mentor, my guru, who made me into the actor I am today. He’s had a huge impact on my life and career and I want to thank him for coming into my life, and solving my personal issues. I met him 4 years back when I was going through a very difficult phase in my career, where I wasn’t confident enough to call myself an actor, I had doubts about my craft, my shows were stalled and I was desperate to act and be back on television.”
“I did an acting workshop with Atul and that’s when everything changed and the shift took place. I spent a lot of time with him, I assisted him in a film workshop as well. My whole life changed after meeting him. He’s taught me that for an actor the most basic thing is self-discovery and self-acceptance and I have been on that path ever since. He’s trained me into an actor, he’s made me more confident of my craft and because of him, I’ve developed this undying passion for the profession. I love what I am doing, and I am confident that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life,” shares Mohit.
