Television heartthrob Arjun Bijlani, who has charmed audiences with his acting talent in shows like Miley Jab Hum Tum, Naagin and Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil, says his new venture, Ishq Mein Marjawa on Colors, is different from the rest of his projects.
“The USP of the show is that it is a deceptive love story. It focuses on this two characters, Deep-Arohi and their unconditional love which lands them in unwanted circumstances. Usually you will see typical saas-bahu drama but this is quite different. The show is edgier and bolder. It is not that typical romantic show but something very different for the audience to watch. It is a complete package.”
Arjun further adds that he has never done such a role in his career. “It’s versatile. Obviously, if I am saying this then I am doing something out of the box. I am sure after seeing my character audience will say that we have never seen Arjun in such an avatar. The part has great scope hence I agreed for the role or else I was thinking of taking a 6-8 months break. I couldn’t say no to Yash and Mamta Patnaik (Beyond Dreams: Producers of the show).”
The talented thespian believes that a show’s fate is decided by the viewers. “Actor’s life is dependent on viewers. I feel audience decides the fate of a show. We try to bring something new to the table and entertain them but it is upon them to accept or reject. We have tried to bring all the elements in the show and now we are hopeful of a positive response.”
Finally, talking about his co-star Alisha Panwar, he shares, “I feel Alisha’s character is amazing. She has done a great job. It’s her first show as a lead and she has surprised all with her acting prowess. In time to come, she will be shining bright. Audience will love her work in the series. It is a team effort. I think if we are not comfortable with each other then there will be lack of chemistry. I do irritate her and pull her leg in between shots but she is all cool about it. She is a wonderful human being.”
