How excited are you about the show?
I am very, very excited! I feel so blessed and grateful that I have got such an opportunity during these times. Also, the cast is amazing which makes everything so comfortable.
What made you say yes to Aye Mere Humsafar? What will be the USP of the show?
The USP of the show is its writing. You will feel really connected to the characters and feel the highs and lows in them. It’s a very heart touching story. This is what made me say yes to the project. Also, the fact that it’s a Shashi Sumeet production and the fact it’s on Dangal which is a channel that is growing at a spectacular rate, also gave me confidence. I am really looking forward to reaching out to the audience through this story especially people in the rural area.
Tells us something about your character in the show?
I play Vidhi who has a disability and dreams of becoming an IAS officer. Despite her disability, she is always positive and goes about doing her things. She teaches kids part-time to pay for her studies. Vidhi is a simple, determined and fun-loving girl.
How has been your experience working with co actors?
Everyone has years of experience and I am so glad that I am working with such a pool of talent because I get to learn a lot. I have two moms on set, Vaishnavi Ma’am and Neelu Ma’am. They are both so down to earth, fun and such fantastic actors. I really look up to them. Namish is very hardworking and I really like that about him.
How did you spend your lockdown period?
I cooked all day. I never knew how to cook before so it used to literally take me all day to cook 3 meals. But I am glad I have learnt a life-skill now. I also spent a lot of time in prayer and played chess online.
What was the thing that you missed the most during lockdown?
I missed spending time with my family. My flatmates went back to their parent’s houses but I couldn’t as my family lives in the UK and I wish I could spend quality time with them. I haven’t seen them in a year and it’s hard.
Any final message for your lovely fans…
Thank you so much for all your love so far. Please do watch Aye Mere Humsafar. I’m sure you all will love the story.
