What made you say a yes to Aye Mere Humsafar?

I was re-called by Shashi Sumit Productions for an independent character that has lived her life on her own since her husband left. And I love sending a message to people through my acting. My character tells people to not feel that their life is over after losing their partner. They can fend for themselves and live a great life ahead. So this was my biggest reason to say yes to the show

Tell us a little more about your role in this new show?

My character, Pratibha Devi is a strong independent woman, who after losing her husband started selling homemade masalas. The business then goes on to become one of the largest in Rajasthan. She loves her family and knits them together. When I was offered this role, I had no reason to decline as Shashi Sumeet Productions is like my home, the show was for Dangal channel and the character offered was also so strong and beautiful.

Tell us about your bonding with the co-actors?

This is the first show I have taken up after almost a year and it feels really good to be back on sets. It didn’t take a lot of time to gel up with the cast as I have worked with almost everyone in the past and we have known each other for years. So it just feels like coming back to my own family. Namish and I have come back together as a mother-son jodi and the chemistry feels so real. I treat him just like I would treat my son. Hence, Pratibha’s relationship with her youngest son, Ved, will be very interesting to look at.

How did you spend your time in the lockdown?

I mainly spent time with my family during the lockdown. We played antakshri, watched a lot of movies. I got a chance to cook for my kids, feed them with, my hands, talk to them and teach them little lessons. Basically, I got a chance to do everything that I otherwise didn’t get time to do.

How does it feel to be shooting after a long break due to the lockdown?

There was a lot of fear at the beginning. We were afraid of doing or not doing even the smallest things. But slowly I started to understand that if you take precautions, nothing wrong can happen. We can live our life well.

Has the pandemic taught you anything?

A few of the most important things that these difficult times and lockdown taught me are to stay healthy and always think positive.

A message for the viewers?

I would like to ask my viewers to watch Aye Mere Humsafar on Dangal TV and constantly shower their love and blessings like they have always done.
