Actress Siddhi Rathore, who is seen in the Sony SAB show Badall Pe Paon Hai, in the role of Ginny Khanna, younger sister of the male lead Rajat Khanna, says that society and television are deep-rooted. She says that one impacts the other all the time. Truly, the emotions connected with television and the shows that air, are something that needs to be experienced and watched. Television indeed brings out the best in actors, and actors do get a solid foundation from TV.
“I believe it’s a two-way street. TV shows like Badall pe paon hai reflect reality while inspiring positive change. Our show explores real-life struggles and aspirations,” she says.
She adds, “Daily soaps connect emotionally. Our show focuses on family values, women’s empowerment, and chasing dreams – themes that resonate with audiences.”
Talking about her own show, she says, “I hope our show motivates young viewers to pursue their goals. Knowing we could make a difference, no matter how small, is incredible.”
She adds, “Our show’s authenticity sets it apart. We tackle everyday struggles and triumphs of a lower-middle-class family, making it relatable and inspiring.”
Ask her what she thinks is better on TV – short and impactful characters or long-term characters adding just a little bit of value, and she says, “Both have their place! Short-term characters bring excitement, while long-term characters let viewers grow with them. Playing Ginni has been amazing! I love her growth throughout the show.”
