Actor Shekhar Choudhary is happy and excited to be making his debut on TV with Colors’ cult show Balika Vadhu 2.
Says Shekhar, “Honestly speaking, I wanted to focus on films and the web. But when I was offered the role of Bhawaan in Balika Vadhu 2, I could not absolutely refuse it, as it is a cult show. More than me, my parents were excited when I bagged the role. I don’t think I could have had a better debut on the small screen than Balika Vadhu 2.”
Shekhar plays the role of Bhawaan, Anandi’s maternal uncle. “My character in Balika Vadhu 2 has a lot of shades. I am in the white, black and grey areas. So I have a lot of scope to play with the character.”
Shekhar who was seen and appreciated in the ALTBalaji series Dark 7 White says that he did not plan his TV debut. “It just happened. I believe that what is right for me will eventually come to me. So I am going to do my best to do justice to this role.”
“I am very different from my character in Balika Vadhu. I like to learn and explore new things and places that help me grow as a person. Apart from acting I am a national level basketball player, a dancer and I love to sketch,” adds the multi-talented Shekhar.
Ask him about his expectations from Balika Vadhu 2 and he states, “I like roles that challenge me, that make me want to better myself, that makes me work harder…I don’t like things to be constant. My expectation is just that the show does well for all of us. We are a team and are working really hard, so fingers crossed that we can fulfil the audience’s expectation and rule the TRP charts.”
Best of luck, Shekhar!!
