Beechwale: Bapu Dekh Raha Hai is the tale of middle-class people, who are caught between their ambitions and reality: Ananya Khare

Talented actress ananya Khare who is entertaining audiences in her Punjabi getup in SAB TV’s new show, Beechwale: Bapu Dekh Raha Hai produced by Ashwini Dhir’s Garima Producitons is extremely happy playing the role, especially because it is not negative.

Says Ananya, “It is a very different role when compared to what I have done before. Chanchal Beechwale is a normal middle-class home-maker from a Punjabi family. The show actually deals with the middle-class people and their problems, their strengths and challenges. The best part is that the story is believable and depicts the everyday normal life situations. Plus it has a comic touch.”

Ananya Khare who has featured in movies Chandni Bar and Devdaas wanted to be part of a believable concept and this prompted her to pick this up. Talking about her character, she states, “Chanchal is a normal Punjabi woman that you will find in Delhi. Her husband was a motor mechanic who has now become a garage owner. She is a happy-go-lucky kind of a person who does not have any major grudges, ambitions etc. The only thing is that she wants her family to be successful. She wants to have the latest gadgets, good clothes etc which cannot be afforded by her husband. So she thinks of different ways to get what she wants.”

Talking about her on-screen husband’s (Zakir Hussain) mentality, she states, “The mentality of the husband is also not negative. He belongs to a middle-class family and wants good things to happen for his family. He wants his kids to have good education; he wants a good car etc. He is trying his best to make it work. The show aptly depicts the thought process of the middle-class people, who are caught between their ambitions and reality. Their ambitions are very high, but the reality is that their resources are limited. So how are they making things work without going through a lot of problems is the crux of the story.”

On the USP of the show, Ananya avers, “The USP of the show is its concept and the tone of the show too. It is not over the top and loud; at the same time it is not sombre and over-dramatic. Somewhere it is very real, just like life which has funny ands serious moments.”

Ananya is working for the first time with Writer and Producer Ashwini Dhir. Talking about him, shr quips, “He is a very volatile person with lots of ideas. His ideas are so relevant; he writes his own shows. His ideas are so believable and real at the same time has good sense of humour. He has had lot of experience with the film industry. I am enjoying being part of his show.”

Best of luck, Ananya!!
