Amar Upadhyay the lead of Colors’ Molkki is an ardent worshipper of Vighnaharta Ganesh. On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Amar talks about his favourite moments, during the festive ambience.
Says Amar, “Bringing home the Ganapati and unveiling the idol, the first look is my happiest moment during Ganesh Chaturthi.”
Ask him about the normal ritual followed during the festival and he states, “I am a born and brought up Mumbai boy, thus it’s part of my DNA. Under normal circumstances, all friends and family used to gather for meals.”
On the plans this year, Amar explains, “Due to the pandemic, only the family will be celebrating and praying together.”
On the prayers for Ganesh Chaturthi, Amar quips, “Praying that families all around stay safe and job market improves enabling a recovery of health & wealth as Ganesh puja signifies a success over the pandemic.”
Last but not the least, Amar talks about the food delicacies he loves to have when Ganpati Bappa is around. “I like to eat laddoos made up of wheat and jaggery during the festival. Although I diet throughout the year, in these 10 days, I eat those laddoos as I just can’t resist. My wife makes the most delicious laddoos ever! And my mom used to make them initially, and that’s how my wife also learned it.”
