An actor needs to have tremendous amount of patience: Mohit Malhotra

Mohit Malhotra, who has enthralled audience in popular shows like Bade Achhe Lagte Hain and Kya Hua Tera Vaada, will be seen in the upcoming episode of &TV’s Laal Ishq.

Talking about his character and the show, he says, “Well, the story that was narrated to me was very interesting, it touches upon the subject of premonition. When I read the script I realised that my character Shivam has a lot of intricacies and there was so much that I could do with it as an actor. That’s the reason I took this up. The Indian television industry has continuously attempted to explore different genres. Laal Ishq is one such show which beautifully explores the combination of supernatural and romance and presents an interesting watch for the audience. What makes it more interesting is that every story has a different production team and a fresh set of creative eyes working towards making the episode special. Along with unique story concepts, the audience gets to witness new and popular faces in every other episode which cannot be compared to any other shows.”

Mohit feels apart from supernatural genre, comedy goes well with romance, “I think comedy goes well with horror. Stree was a good watch and I absolutely enjoyed it. I’d like to do something in the comedy space. That is something that I haven’t tried as yet.

When asked what his biggest pet peeve is, he shares, “It might be an OCD issue but my biggest pet peeve are messy places. I can’t stand a dirty room or a sink filled with dirty dishes.”

Commenting on the hardest part of being an actor, he adds, “I believe there’s not one thing but a lot of things that makes a celebrity’s life difficult. On the face of it, it may look glamorous, luxurious and easy, but it honestly isn’t. One needs to have tremendous amount of patience and should be ready to put in 100 percent effort at all times.”

Lastly, he shares his fitness mantra with his fans, “Fitness is a lifestyle. It comes from within and when you want something that you know helps you in the long run, you make time for it,” ends Mohit.

Good luck guy!
