Actress Priya Chauhan, who is known for a stint in Bhoot: Part One – The Haunted Ship, Kitani Mohabbat Hai Season 2 and Barsaat ki Raat, is all set to be back on-screen.
Priya, who was part of the previous season of MTV Nishedh will be seen playing the role of Megha in MTV Nishedh Alone Together. She will be playing the role of a popular radio presenter based in Mumbai.
The story will revolve around Megha, and her boyfriend and show producer, Vicky, who would pitch an idea to start a regular vlog in hope that this new tactic will help save their jobs at the station. Unfortunately, Vicky’s job will be terminated at the radio station which will put Megha and Vicky’s romantic relationship under pressure.
Talking about the show, Priya says, “I am excited to be part of the youth-based show. My character Megha has been a challenging yet memorable character for me, for she depicts many aspects of the modern Indian woman. I relate to my role. It was shot at home so there were a couple of challenges wherein I had to manage all on our own. It was a different experience I really enjoyed it.”
How was your lockdown period? She adds, “Initially, it was challenging and difficult as I stay alone. However, l kept myself busy with cooking. I used to cook but during a pandemic, I cooked a lot. The one thing that happened which was different was I celebrated my birthday all alone. I had no cake but it was a different experience.”
Commenting on her challenging phase, Priya shares, “I started my career-long back with TV. However, during this journey, I have learnt a lot. I have learnt to be patient. I have become mature over the years. There were a lot of moments when I was shortlisted but the project gets scrapped and that took a toll on me. However, my family and friends have always been supportive. Those were the challenges in my career.”
