Actress Ayushi Khurana who essays the role of Reet in Zee TV’s Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile has been fighting for a noble cause in the show. As Reet, Ayushi stood up against the domestic violence meted out on the character of Poonam in the show, and got him arrested. The show dealt with this societal aberration of a woman being subjected to harassment with good clarity. Ayushi who is a Shiv Bhakt is now all ready to pray to God on the occasion of Maha Shivratri. She talks about the significance of the festival and the fondest of memories she holds.
She says, “Shivratri is a day when I feel deeply connected to my faith and the divine energy of Lord Shiva. Every year, I observe a fast on this auspicious day, not merely as a tradition but as a means to practice self-discipline and gratitude. Fasting, for me, serves as a reminder that true strength lies within when we surrender to faith. I also dedicate time to chanting ‘Om Namah Shivaya,’ a practice that gives me immense peace and positivity. One of my fondest memories is sitting with my family during the evening puja, lighting the diya, offering bel leaves, and singing bhajans together. That sense of togetherness and devotion remains with me. May Lord Shiva bless everyone with happiness, health, and boundless positivity. Har Har Mahadev!”
Here’s wishing all our readers Happy Maha Shivratri!!
