Ankita Lokhande was born in a Marathi household in Indore on December 19, 1984, to Vandana Phadnis Lokhande, a teacher, and Shashikant Lokhande. Sooraj and Arun are her two brothers, and Jyoti is her only sister. She migrated to Mumbai in 2005 after graduation to follow a profession in acting.
Ankita Lokhande made her Zee TV debut in Balaji Telefilms’ daily show Pavitra Rishta, in which she won an award. Until she retired in 2018 to pursue a profession in movies, she was one of the highest-paid television actors.

Ankita got her braids done by her mother. She thanked her for the same and shared she is totally in love with her look. She captioned her post, “In love with my braids. Maaaa tere jaisa yaar kaha…thanku maa totally loving it #braidstyles #meandmaa.”
