Close friend Salman Ali has been my toughest competitor in Indian Idol 10: Nitin Kumar

Nitin Kumar, one of the Finalists of Indian Idol 10 gets into a conversation with IWMBuzz.com, and talks about his journey.

Nitin Kumar, one can say is God’s chosen person!! This talented singer from the hills of Himachal Pradesh was born in a temple and has lived his life serving God and singing songs in the temple.

With his parents motivating him to achieve glory in the singing field, Nitin’s journey in Sony TV’s Indian Idol 10 has been a commendable one.

A person with a simple and ever-smiling rapport, Nitin has made himself and his family proud by reaching the Grand Finale.

Now that he glares at the Indian Idol trophy and is just a step closer to reaching it, Nitin recalls his journey with the show to be a fantabulous one. In an exclusive conversation with IWMBuzz.com, he states, “Indian Idol has made me a new person today. It has changed the whole course of my life. From leading a life where I would not even be recognized in a crowd of 10, I am at a phase where people identify me, even when I am standing amidst a hundred of them. All this has happened because of Indian Idol.”

Ask him about the special prayers that he has to offer to his Lord before the Finale and he states, “Well, there are a lot of questions in my mind right now. There is the anxiety level to perform to the best of my ability. But yes, prayers are there for all. I want everyone to do really well. For us who are in the Top 5, it is a big achievement. The winner will be chosen based on the public demand. But we see each of us as worthy to lift the trophy. That’s the level of camaraderie we have.”

On his chances of winning the trophy, he avers, “I do not know whether I will lift the trophy or not. But I am sure that I have made a place in people’s hearts with my performances. That’s the biggest victory for me.”

Ask him about his biggest competitor on the stage in the Finals and he is quick to name his close friend Salman Ali. “Salman has always been my toughest competitor. He is a very good friend too. We have always worked things out and given our best.”

May the best one win, and wish you luck, Nitin!!
