Mouni Roy is a Hindi film and television actress, singer, Kathak dancer, and model. On September 28, 1985, she was born. In 2007, she made her television debut in the Star Plus soap series Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi as Krishna Tulsi. She made her television debut in 2011 as Sati in the Life OK sitcom Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev. She also appeared in Zara Nachke Dikha (2008), Pati Patni Aur Woh (2009), Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7 (2014), Box Cricket League 2 (2016), and Lip Sing Battle as Meera in Life OK’s Junoon – Aisi Nafrat Toh Kaisa Ishq as Meera in Life OK’s Junoon – Aisi Nafrat Toh Kaisa Ishq as Meera in Life OK’s Juno (2017).
Mouni Roy became one of the highest-paid Hindi television actresses after portraying Shivanya, a shape-shifting serpent in Colors TV’s supernatural thriller Naagin 1. In the show’s sequel Naagin 2, she made a cameo appearance as Shivanya’s child Shivangi, another shape-shifting serpent. She received overtures from Bollywood after Naagin and made her Hindi film debut in Reema Kagti’s sports drama Gold, which was a critical and financial success and garnered her a nomination for a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. In 2019, she debuted as a singer with the remake of “Bheegi Bheegi Raaton Mein” and acted in two films, one as a spy in the action thriller Romeo Akbar Walter and the other as a spy in the action thriller Romeo Akbar Walter and in the comedy Made in China (2019), in which she co-stars with John Abraham and Rajkummar Rao as a crazy housewife.
