Dalljiet Kaur has never played the single mother sympathy card: Sunayana Fozdar

TV actor Sunayana Fozdar, last seen in Belan Wali Bahu, is totally glued to Colors’ big ticket show Bigg Boss this year, for her friend Dalljiet Kaur is one of the contestants.

“I don’t think Dalljiet is playing the single mother card (her argument with Siddharth Dey during the current nomination task). Knowing Dalljiet well, I know she is not the one to invoke sympathy cards. Even when she entered Bigg Boss, she talked about herself as a celeb player, doing her own thing. Having said that, if someone pokes her like Siddharth did, she is bound to fire back.”

Ask her about the recent press reports that suggested that Dalljiet agreed to be part of Bigg Boss only if the channel assured her of not bringing in ex-husband Shalin Bhanot as a possible wildcard contestant, Sunayana says, “I really don’t know about this, but Dalljiet’s fear is right, for her public break up with him was quite ugly. And she obviously does not want all this to affect her five-year-old son. Today kids are very smart and know what is going on; Jadydon is no different. I met him a couple of days back when he made a video hoping that his mother wins.”

Shifting gears to other inmates, Sunayana says, “While the action has picked up steam in haste, certain contestants who I expected to fire have not really delivered so far. Example, neither Rashami Desai nor Siddharth Shukla have really given great content. Yes, their yesterday’s spat was something though.”

“Compared to them, other contestants like Shehnaaz Gill, who till now was an unknown commodity, has managed to become the cynosure of attention. I am also supportive of Shefali Bagga’s early antics. She needed to stand out ASAP, for other TV actor inmates (Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Arti Singh, etc) have a distinct fan advantage. If you are not noticed, you go home, period.”

“The game this year is tougher, for unlike earlier, here 6 contestants will get eliminated in a month itself (first finale). So I am a bit worried for Dalljiet as well. While this need to step up on the gas pedal is tough for the contestants, it is fun for the audience as the drama just does not stop. You miss one episode and you feel left out,” says Sunayana, whose other shows have included Santaan,Yam Hain Hum and Ek Rishta Saajhedari Ka.

Sunayana further talks turkey, saying, “While I am not sure whether what the contestants say or do is real, let’s face it, we all tune into Bigg Boss for the controversies and arguments. If you don’t like it, then watch mytho stuff.”

“Here, in closing, I would advise Dalljiet to be an active participant in the affairs of the house and If need be, express a strong opinion on stuff as well. I honesty expected her to talk about her marriage, may be it is too soon though.”
