For me, definition of bold goes beyond just kissing, nudity and love making scenes: Smriti Khanna

Smriti Khanna of Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi fame, who recently got married,  plans to return to work  soon. “My in laws want me to keep busy. I have multiple options before me but I would like to continue with TV for the moment ,” Smriti shares with IndianWikiMedia.

“I have had a good  journey so far (Yeh Hai Aashiqui, Balika Vadhu etc) and hope to take it ahead doing different kinds of interesting roles in the future as well.” She was last seen in  Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3.

Apart from TV, Smriti who began with Its Complicated on Channel  V,  is open to web series as well “  “Digital is the medium of the  future.  As of now it is mixed bag, some content is good while others are  passé, the format is such that it allows unfettered creative expression.”

Would you now shy away from bold online stuff post marriage? “I have never done it before so will not do it now.  It is not that I have asked my hubby’s (Gautam Gupta – Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi co star)  permission, I am personally not comfortable. And for me definition of bold goes beyond just kissing, nudity and love making scenes. It can also be dark content which compels you to think  and question stuff as well.”

Talking about life post wedlock she says, “It has been a pleasant experience so far.  For a woman, the changes post wedding are more than what a man faces  i.e. having to move into a different house and  living  with a new family.  Having  said that, everything is bliss if you end up with the person  you love.”

Here Smriti adds that one of the best qualities in Gautam is that unlike her he is very calm  and  ‘does not get flustered easily’ .

“Also the fact that we have an age gap, helps things,” she adds.

Do you think that women tend to mature emotionally faster than men?“Well, I can’t really comment on this as mental growth differs from person to person. My hubby is quite mature though.”

We wish her luck.
