Sai Tamhankar, a Bollywood and Marathi actress, has amassed a significant fan base over the years. Her outstanding performance in films like Hunterr, Love Sonia, Girlfriend, Dhurala, and others has earned her celebrity status in both sectors. The very brilliant actress will next be seen in Mimi, a film starring Kriti Sanon. For her character, the actress who plays a Muslim woman in the movie had to acquire Urdu as well as a Rajasthani accent.

Talking about the entire experience of her learning a new language she said, “Although I’m familiar with Urdu, speaking chaste Urdu was new for me. After the year that we’ve had, I’m very fortunate to have such an important career stream over OTT. A lot has gone into making this film a moving entertainer.”

The movie ‘Mimi’ is a remake of the popular Marathi movie, ‘Mala Aai Vhhaychy’. Sai did a phenomenal job in the movie alongside Kriti Sanon and it was directed by Laxman Utekar. The movie revolves around the story of a surrogate mother and the various problems and challenges faced by this woman, which is played by Kriti.

Talking about her experience in the film, Kriti was quoted saying, “Being blessed with a great metabolism, I’ve always been able to eat whatever I want. Owing to this, it wasn’t easy for me to put on the kilos. From devouring the oiliest possible breakfast to gorging on the sugariest of sweets, I had to stuff myself with way more food than normal.”
