Munawar Faruqui, a comedian, gained widespread recognition after competing in Lock Upp, which he eventually also managed to win. He has admitted that, despite the fact that he regularly mocks his audience, politicians, and even celebrities on stage, he will never make fun of Shah Rukh Khan. He discussed his adoration for the Bollywood star and how he’ll never make jokes about him in a recent interview.

Munawar admitted that he admires SRK greatly and is inspired by his journey. “Itna hazir jawab, unke jaisa insan. Ek alag si kashish hai, itna naam aur shaurat ke baad bhi. He is such an intelligent and funny man, Aap bas dekhte reh Jaye. He has a very special appeal despite his notoriety and stardom.” He told Bollywood Hungama, “You can’t help but adore him.” The comedian went on to say that Shah Rukh Khan is his favorite star to the point where he has never liked anyone. “Unki respect Karta hu dil se. There is no ban on pandas. Kya pakad hai unki, also as a stage performer.”

Munawar Faruqui also expressed his desire to work with Shah Rukh Khan at some point in the future. He chose Alia Bhatt as the best actress right away. He spoke candidly on India’s comedy scene in the same interview, lamenting the country’s overly sensitive populace. “While we are progressing in everything, we are regressing in humor,” continued Munawar. “I would want to see a little more tolerance for the same.”
