How is Diwali this year special for you?
Diwali this year is super special because we will be celebrating it in our City of dreams with my whole family together for the first time. Earlier it used to be only a few in the family being together, or we have gone to our hometown to celebrate. But this time Mumbai becomes our home completely.
What are the best memories of the festival?
I have the best memories of the recent few years when my friends and I organised a ‘Diwali Charity Fest’ where we got together the kids of our neighbourhood and organised an event. All the proceeds were then used to distribute essentials to the less privileged. It is the best feeling ever. It gave us a sense of community as well.
On the set, you get ready for many festival sequences, so this Diwali, what are you planning to wear in your real life?
We do get ready a lot while we are shooting as we often have some celebration going on. In real life whenever I have a festival to celebrate or a function, I prefer to wear a classic saree. That is my traditional go-to for any event mostly.
What makes you most happy on Diwali?
Diwali makes me happy in a way that we celebrate the victory of good over evil. However cliche it may sound, but it is the essence of the human race. If we just crack this simple way of life, we will be happy. The motto is to be just be ‘Good’.
Happy Diwali to all our readers!!
