Kanika wrote & produced a story categorically for film festivals, which went on to win awards at various prestigious platforms that recognises short films from across the globe. Kanika’s Forever Whim is a beautiful story that revolves around the relationship between a mother and a daughter when the former is detected with cancer.

The critically acclaimed short film caught the idea of the right people & now will be released worldwide.
Kanika who’ll now proudly make her debut in the world of web is ecstatic & shares her inspiration behind the story.
Kanika shares, ‘The relationship between a mother and her child is pious and uncontaminated, it is something you can’t put it in words, but my story is purely about loss & grief. I believe the timing for this release couldn’t have been better, in a year when we’ve seen so much loss & people are still grieving over the loss of their loved ones.’

She further adds, ‘Grieving is a process of life, it sure is painful but one learns to move on and grow. You understand your strength and are also in acceptance of your weaknesses and advertisity. When I lost my granny, it was the first time I felt such an acute heartache but time heals almost everything. The movie is all about the placebo effect. One moment you know it & the other you don’t know at all. I’ve dealt with my own share of losses & I guess that has helped me write from the heart. This story was worth telling.’
