We don’t promote polygamy in our show: Patrali Chattopadhyay

Gorgeous beauty Patrali Chattopadhyay, who is currently enthralling audience as Prema in Star Bharat’s popular show Kya Haal Mr. Paanchal (Optimystix), says that they are not promoting polygamy in their show.

She says, “The serial’s concept is unique. However, it also depends on interpretation of people. We are not promoting polygamy. We just convey that greediness will always land you in major trouble. Our saas wanted panchguni bahu but she couldn’t get all the qualities in one bahu hence she gets five bahus in the house. However, this greedy nature has got her into major trouble and now she has to face five bahus together.”

Patrali feels comedy genre helps an actor to get relaxed from his hectic schedule, “This is first time I have tried comedy genre. I feel after working continuously we actors get tired and exhausted but I am happy that we not crying and getting exhausted but laughing the entire day in our scenes. This makes the set environment very light. There is positivity on the sets. I am also blessed that I have got an amazing team.”

When we asked if there was any pressure on her for replacing Reena Aggarwal in the show, she averred, “I am lucky as the team was very supportive. I never felt like a newcomer. I was welcomed by the entire team and I feel that working for a comedy genre was one of the best experiences in my career. Nobody pressurized me. I was told by my creative team to not to copy anyone but portray in my style. I had helpful directors. Before doing the show, I never knew that I can do a comedy show. Initially, it was difficult for me but now I am used to it. I feel it is team work and not a one man show.”

Well said, Patrali!
