Dr Anand of Aggar Tum Na Hote has a lot of layers: Tushar Chawla

Tushar Chawla who plays the role of Dr Anand in Aggar Tum Na Hote gets into a conversation with IWMBuzz.com.

Tushar Chawla who is predominantly known for his mythological roles plays a significant role in Zee TV’s Aggar Tum Na Hote, produced by Naad Films, Mahesh Pandey Productions and Pixx Entertainment. Tushar who was last seen in Vighnaharta Ganesh, Karn Sangini, Paramavatar Shri Krishna etc, essays the role of Dr Anand in the above-said show.

Says Tushar, “I feel blessed to have got the role of Dr Anand. There are many layers in him. He is a very to-the-point person. He has an aim; he goes by the book. If you have seen the first episode, you will feel he is rude in his behaviour.”

He adds on to say “Though he appears stern from the exterior, he is a very genuine guy. He will act according to the situation and will not let his emotions take over him. That does not mean that he is vengeful. He is not at all rude and negative by heart.”

Tushar has had a tough road to traverse, especially with respect to injuries and getting back to the best of shape. “During the lockdown, my little finger on the right foot got numb. Five years back, I had a major injury, after which two of my discs got damaged. The problem resurfaced again last year and the doctor told me that I am on the verge of getting paralysed. I went out of shape. After going through an enormous rehab routine, I got this show. I met Piyush Gupta and he gave me this role. My aim for the role was to get leaner.”

Tushar has gained widespread knowledge in fitness with all his experience. “I am an international coach now. I was always into fitness. I did my certifications in fitness. Overall, it was a tough journey to get back in shape. As of now, there is no issue as such with my back. However, I take care of resting my back when I have time at my disposal. But I am happy that I have managed to get the lean shape that I needed to play Dr Anand in Aggar Tum Na Hote. Overall, I have lost around 7.8 Kgs.”

Talking about the thrill element in the show, he states, “There are many shades in Abhimanyu’s character. Then my character of Dr Anand has many shades. There is a past to Niyati. So it is a suspense thriller. The show will not give you stress on the head. You will enjoy it. Everything about the show, including the plot will be enjoyable.”

Best of luck, Tushar!!
