You might most remember her as the bubbly and cute doctor from the popular TV serial Dill Mill Gaye. Since then Drashti Dhami has managed to capture many hearts and make a name for her in the Indian Television space.
Drashti Dhami’s TV shows like Geet Hui Sabse Parayi, Madhubala and most recently, Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka have made her a household name.
On personal front, after years of speculation, the pretty actress finally walked down the aisle on 21st February 2015 and got hitched to long-term beau Mumbai-based businessman, Neeraj Khemka.
Until before the couple got married, TV actress Drashti Dhami had always been mum about her personal life and insisted she was single. It wasn’t until Jhalak Dhikhlaa Jaa 6 that the fans got a confirmation of the actress being in a relationship.
It remains unknown still how the couple met but apparently they had been dating for quite some time. More precisely, they were apparently together for 6 years before choosing to tie the knot.
But what’s a love story without a few twists and turns? Drashti Dhami and husband Neeraj Khemka’s long journey towards love hadn’t been all that easy. Before taking the final step, there were apparently rumours that all was not well between the young jodi and they had even come close to calling quits and parting ways. Plus, the actress’s work commitments had also caused delay in nuptials.
The Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka actress courted quite a controversy when she was linked to her previous co-stars, Gurmeet Choudhary and Siddharth Shukla.
As much as their on-screen sizzling chemistry was praised in the TV serial Geet Hui Sabse Parayi, Drashti Dhami and Gurmeet Choudhary made headlines when rumors of them getting too close on the sets came in. This of course created problems in Gurmeet’s personal life with his wife Debina issuing him an ultimatum.
Drashti was also rumored to be dating her Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa co-host, Siddharth Shukla during and even after the show had ended. Althought, Drashti squashed all the rumors and set the record straight.
Despite the many ups and downs in Drashti Dhami’s road to love, the couple managed to stay strong together. The lovely couple, in fact, celebrated four years of marital bliss this year. We can only wish them a happily ever after!
