Priya Thakur who is presently seen as the lead in Zee TV’s Vasudha, hails from Himachal Pradesh and she has special memories to tell us about her Dussehra celebrations. She plays the bubbly, carefree and positively spirited character of Vasudha in the Zee TV show. Though a newcomer, Priya has been appreciated for her acting prowess. She now talks about the significance that Dussehra has in her life.
She says, “In my hometown, Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, Dussehra is celebrated with immense enthusiasm, and it’s always been one of the most awaited festivals for me.”
Priya used to enjoy the extravagant Ramleela organized at her hometown. “The local Ramleela performances and the burning of Ravana’s effigy fill the air with excitement, symbolizing the victory of good over evil. For me, Dussehra is a time to reflect on our inner battles and overcome negativity.”
She continues to say, “It’s more than just a festival—it’s a reminder to embrace goodness, truth, and righteousness in everything we do. I am looking forward to celebrating it this year with my family and carrying forward the values this festival teaches. Wishing you all a very happy Dussehra!”
