Dheeraj Dhoopar who rose to fame through his characters in shows like Sasural Simar Ka and Kuch Toh Log Kahenge, is not the cute dimpled boy anymore.
After working hard for years in the industry, Dheeraj is happy about being appreciated for the right reason, that is his acting talent in Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya.
He shares, “I am on top of the world. The show is number 1 on the TRP charts and doing wonderful. I am getting appreciated for my acting skills. Initially, I used to get compliments for my looks and dimples. I am really happy and overwhelmed with the love, response and appreciation that I have been receiving for my acting chops.”
Ask him what connects audience to the show, and he avers, “The characterizations and story
.line of Kundali Bhagya is very relatable. Their inter-personal relationships are the strength of the show. I feel the relatability factor of each character is being loved by audience. My character Karan is also a boy-next-door. His relationship with his mother, brother or Preeta is very common. I think people relate to the character and show.”
Talking about how special the show is for him, he says, “It is a very special show. I always wanted to work with Ekta Kapoor even before I became an actor. When I got Kundali Bhagya, I was very anxious. I am happy to be doing it and living my dream.”
