Niyati Fatnani the talented actress has been a real find for the industry post her stellar performance in the lead role in Star Plus’ Nazar. With Nazar coming back to adorn one of the time slots in Star Plus’ promising weekend band show Ankahee Dastaan, we get to talk to Niyati on her comeback stint for the cult show. Nazar is produced by Gul Khan’s 4 Lions Films.
Says Niyati, “When Nazar got over, the first lockdown was declared. What kept me going was my zeal to keep working on myself. I took some online classes, took some workshops. I am still learning belly dancing. There have been photoshoots, campaigns that I shot for. And of course, I have been Netflixing, without which I wouldn’t have survived the lockdown. For most of the lockdown phase, I was in Gujarat with my family.”
On the pleasant memories of being part of Nazar, Niyati exclaims, “We have had a lot of pleasant memories on the set of Nazar. But one aspect that I would want to bring to notice here is the fact that all on the set of Nazar love singing. Everyone has got a wonderful taste in music. So when we are together, ‘mehfil jham jaati hai!!’. We sit together, sing old and new songs. We get ice cream from nowhere on the set. We treat each other to treats of ice cream. It is more like family. I am glad that after almost one and half years, we got to be part of Nazar again. There was so much love and happiness around, hoping that the viewers too like the product.”
Niyati feels nostalgic about the entire Nazar journey that she has had. “Every scene, from my entry, to the varied amazing scenes shot, everything comes to mind. We actually talked recently when we were shooting for the film about the old sequences shot.”
“The response to the film is already great. Fans are extremely happy. They have started tagging us, started making reels. They are already demanding that they are not satisfied with one episode on one day. They want a full season (laughs). So yes, the response has been overwhelming,” she adds.
Ask her about what viewers can expect from Nazar the film and the gorgeous actress states, Nazar is all about surprises. So I would say that viewers should watch it on 10 October at 9 PM, and see for themselves on how it is made.”
All the best, Niyati!!
