Being father to two kids in real life, it was tough being cruel to Kiara in Kumkum Bhagya: Shaad Randhawa aka Nikhil

Shaad Randhawa the bad man of Kumkum Bhagya gets into a conversation with IWMBuzz.com to talk about the scenes related to Kiara’s death.

Talented actor Shaad Randhawa who has won hearts on the big screen with roles in movies Hate Story 4, Mastizaade, Aashiqui 2 etc has been seen in the antagonistic role of Nikhil Sood in Zee TV and Balaji Telefilms’ popular show Kumkum Bhagya.

Well, the recent track that involved the kidnapping of little Kiara (Kaurvakee Vasistha) by Nikhil was indeed emotional.

Shaad who is a talented actor had a tough time working out and preparing for these drastic scenes where he had to illtreat and mishandle the cute girl.

Says Shaad, “Basically in real life, I am father to two little kids. My first one is 4 years old and my daughter is a newborn, who is 6 months old. So enacting these scenes did not come easy to me. Before shooting for these scenes, I had to first convince myself that it was Nikhil doing it and has nothing in it related to how I am in real life. It is completely opposite of what I am in real life. I am sure that will be the case with most of the people. It was a dark space to be in. And on TV, you don’t really get the time to prepare for anything. To be honest, there is not much time for preparation. But having said this, sequences like this require you to think deep, get into that dark mind space. So as an actor, the task was to do it to the best of my abilities and convince myself that I was only acting.”

Talking about the little adorable Kaurvakee, Shaad states, “She is a very sweet and nice girl, always smiling. I enjoy shooting with her. She is a patient kid. Even when I felt bad while doing scenes where I tie her up and put a tape on her mouth, she kept smiling. I kept apologizing to her and saw to it that she was fine with the scene. And she had no problem at all and in fact encouraged me to bring more reality into the scene. She’s a sweetheart, an ever-smiling kid.”

“In fact, all actors on Kumkum Bhagya are great to work with. Shabir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha are positive people and it was fun to be with them on the set,” Shaad exclaims.

Shaad is now busy with work on his next movie Marjaavaan. He will also start shoot for an Anurag Kashyap movie.

Here’s wishing you all the very best, Shaad!!
