For me, a role being impactful is more important than screen time: Swaran Ghar actor Ronit Roy

Ronit Roy talks about his new show Swaran Ghar

Well-known actor Ronit Roy, who got recognition with his impactful roles in famous shows like Kasauti Zindagi Ki, Adalat, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, returned to TV after a long gap. The actor is currently seen as Kanwaljeet in Colors’ latest offering Swaran Ghar produced by TV actors Sargun Mehta and Ravi Dubey’s Dreamiyata Entertainment.

Talking about his role, Ronit said, “We are very grateful that we got a good response on the promos. I agreed to come on board for this show because I knew it was a wonderful character. As an actor, I always strive to create a strong impact with every character that I play but the connection that I have with Kanwaljeet is really special. I believe it is one of the nicest roles that I have done in my career. Kanwaljeet is a caring husband who has a very practical outlook on life. I am hoping that audiences accept us and shower the show with their love.”

As Ronit is playing a cameo role in the show, we asked what is important for him – screen timing or an impactful role? He answered: “I believe more than screen space and time; it is important how impactful is your character in the storyline. As you can see, in the show Swaran Ghar, I am there for 12-15 episodes. But in this short span of time, the character will come out strong. You will be able to see that soon on the screens.”

When asked how lockdown treated him. He added, “Lockdown was difficult for everybody. Having said that, there was no impact of lockdown in my life. I say this because I am an anti-social person. I don’t go anywhere as such. Either I am at work or at home. So on days when I am not shooting, I spend time with my family. I am quite a family man.”
