‘An idle mind is a devil’s workshop’ – and this lockdown has made this proverb true in few cases!!

Recently, we wrote about actor Kirtida Mistry struggling amid a scare of someone making her fake profiles on social media and speaking in an incoherent way to people from her so-called profile. The person also tried hacking her real social media account.

Now, we find another case where a celebrity is harassed and pushed to extremes.

Sahil Phull, who has featured in shows like Uttaran, Piya Rangrez etc is forced to deactivate his Facebook account owing to repeated attempts to hack it.

Says Sahil talking about the problem, “I had to deactivate my Facebook personal profile account due to repeated attempts of accessing it from other countries. 10 days ago, I also got a notification that my account has been accessed from Canada and I had to reidentify myself on Facebook by providing them with my Government Id. 4 days later, I again got a notification that my password has been changed. Somehow again, I managed to get my account back. But it did not stop, as yesterday my account was accessed from Serbia. It is really stressful as you have a lot of personal information on your social media accounts, including messages to friends and family.”

“Social media nowadays has become a necessity for celebrities to get connected with their fans. So I have decided that I will reactivate my page and deactivate my personal FB profile so that whoever is trying to do this nonsense will not be able to access my account for whatsoever reason he/she may need the access.”

Stay safe, Sahil!!
