Cute, good-looking actor, Aditi Bhatia, is getting the best of both TV worlds. Apart from getting name and fame in Ye Hai Mohabbatein (Ruhi Bhalla), she is now testing her comic bone in revived Sony show, Comedy Circus.
“Amazing experience it is. This is my second tryst with the stand-up genre after Comedy Nights Bachao Taaza. But I am having even more fun than before.”
Talking about comic timing, she says, “This trait is inbuilt and is not something you can learn. But yes, as in my case, you do require experience to iron out the wrinkles. The perfect fusion of actor and stand-up artists (my team mates, Balraj, Divyansh Dwivedi) in Comedy Circus is what keeps the show going, for we all are doing what is required of us. The best part of doing drama and stand up is that on one hand I am crying 24*7 and also making viewers cry, yet, on the other hand, I am making you laugh as well.”
Coming to Ye Hai Mohabbatein, Aditi, who was once a well-known child artist (Vivah, Shootout at Lokhandwala), says, “This Ekta Kapoor show has completely changed the acting ballgame for me. I have got oodles of love and affection, and this show will always have a special place in my heart.”
Here, Aditi rejects the notion these child artists don’t get great adult careers as a mere myth. “It all boils down to your choice about what you want to do or not.”
Looking ahead, Aditi would want to try her hands at other performing arts as well. “I would love to dance. As an artist, it is my job to entertain through my various facets, so bring it on.”
Like several of her small-screen compatriots, Aditi also would like to try her hand at well-written web series. “But yes, I need to be comfortable with the concept.”
Asked about her Comedy Circus co-contestant, Karishma Sharma’s bold image, and she says, “All the digs on her are just for fun. Everybody has the right to wear whatever clothes they feel comfortable in.”
Will you want to have a similar bold image? “No, we all are different, and for the moment, I don’t want to walk down that path.”
