I am game for bold roles; playing negative is my forte – Simmi Dixit

Actress Simmi Dixit looks to have a long innings as an actress and is looking at roles that suit her persona.

Actress Simmi Dixit has been slowly gaining her foothold in the entertainment industry!!

After starting her career in the year 2015 with Miss Pretty India Contest where she was one of the runners-up, Simmi forayed into theatre as well as TV!! She has been part of the Rangrez Theatre Group.

Her first show on TV happened to be Yeh Moh Moh Ke Dhaage for Sony TV wherein she played the role of Kaveri.

Says Simmi, “Nobody can predict where your path will lead you. I will never forget the moment when I gave my first audition. I was very scared but being a theatre artist, I had to get to the next step of acting on TV. Post this, shows like Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi and a cameo in Chandra Nandni came my way. I have done a movie which is yet unreleased, titled Red Signal with Manoj Joshi and Arjun Srivastav.”

Even while Simmi dreams of making it big as an actor today, she recollects the fact that she never dreamt of becoming an actor earlier. “I had a passion for sports and my favourite sports was volleyball. However, I got inspired by Priyanka Chopra and that is when I decided to act”, avers the actress.

Simmi has also been part of creative and writer Imran Siddiqui’s web-series which has been penned on his book ’50 Grey Shades of Bollywood’ which is being launched on the channel on Youtube, Yathartha Fiction.

Simmi is fond of bold characters and is game for more work on the digital platform. “I like to do the emotional roles. Playing the negative role is my forte. Also I look good in the village belle roles. Above all, going bold is what I like to do.”

The young actress is also looking to try her luck in the modelling field. She will soon be participating in Miss Maharashtra.
