‘Kindness’ is a virtue which spreads warmth, love and concern amongst people. Today, 13 November, is celebrated all over as World Kindness Day. This day encourages people to be kind to one another all through the year, and be generous when it comes to spreading love. Actor Manish Naggdev who has recently joined the cast of Rajan Shahi and Star Plus’ Anupamaa in the role of Paritosh Shah gives his opinion on why there is a lack of kindness all around.

Says Manish, “Politics and religion are major factors behind the decline in kindness we are seeing today. Many people are drawn toward negativity, craving quick, easy, digital experiences instead of focusing on life’s real connections. We often lose touch with our own emotions when we are influenced by the polished lifestyles we see around us. And, in a world where speaking honestly can label you as ‘intolerant,’ it can be difficult to stay true to yourself and show kindness.”

Manish advises one and all to exhibit the virtue of kindness in any small way they can. “One small way to practice kindness is simply by treating everyone around you with genuine attention and respect. Every person on this planet has value and purpose. Recognizing this and giving people the attention they deserve can go a long way in spreading kindness. I stay grounded by remaining grateful. Gratitude keeps me connected to what truly matters and helps me appreciate the present moment, no matter the pressures around me.”

Well said, Manish!!
