Rhea Sharma impresses one and all as the mature Mishti in Star Plus and Director’s Kut show Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke.
Mishti has had her own tough choices to make and she has made them with courage and guts.
Says Rhea, “It has been a very emotional journey for Mishti wherein she now wants her family to seek happiness. Her first priority right now is the wedding of her sister Kuhu (Kaveri Priyam). She has always wished the best for Kuhu and her family.”
As for the sour bonding that the sisters Mishti and Kuhu share, Rhea states, “It has never been easy for Mishti to handle Kuhu. Their relationship has always been tough. Kuhu has never understood Mishti properly and feels that she wants to take her place. However, Mishti wishes the best for Kuhu. While Mishti is the wiser and more mature one, Kuhu is very child-like and fails to understand a lot of things.”
Talking about her budding love story with Abir aka Shaheer Sheikh, Rhea explains, “Mishti never liked Abir initially. However he has always been there for her in her emotional times. Now both of them have realized the love they have for the other. However, they are finding it very difficult to express their love.”
Ask her whether the love confession will happen soon and Rhea states, “This has been the biggest twist in the show so far where Abir and Mishti realize their love for each other. I am glad that viewers are appreciating the scenes between Abir and Mishti. It is very important for our show that our chemistry (Rhea with Shaheer) works.”
On her off-the screen rapport with Shaheer Sheikh, Rhea avers, “Shaheer is a very supportive co-actor. We discuss out scenes prior to the shoot. He is ready to take in my inputs, and the same holds good for me too. We share a real good bond.”
To the million dollar question of whether Abir and Mishti will confess their love, Rhea quips with a smile, “Yes, they will confess their love very soon. But it will come with its own sweet twist (smiles).”
Tell her that Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke has silently marched ahead in numbers and has crossed the 2 + TVR mark and Rhea expresses her joy and states, “We are very happy that finally we see an upward trend in the ratings. We have all worked really hard for it and it is a happy feeling to be rewarded with good numbers.”
Finally, we could not stop from asking her about the big decision that Mishti made by rejecting Kunal, and Rhea shares her views. “Men in real life never feel good on being rejected. In our show it is the girtl who rejected the boy. It is fair and welcome if a girl does not see her life partner in the man. Both the sexes should be treated on the same level when it comes to accepting their life partners and moving ahead in life. I actually felt empowered as a woman while doing the scene where Mishti rejects Kunal.”
Rhea wish you all the luck!!
