Dev Joshi entered the entertainment industry at the mere age of three and today continues to win millions of hearts with his phenomenal performance as kid’s favorite superhero, Baalveer.

Dev aka Baalveer from Sony SAB’s Baalveer Returns shared his fond memories of Makar Sankranti.

“Having born and brought up in Gujarat and in Gujarati culture, Makar Sankranti or Uttarayan has always been a special festival for me and my family. Every year on January 14th and 15th, we enjoy the kite flying with family as well as neighbors. This festive time is also the time for shopping and more interestingly Undhiyu, which just adds to all the festive cheer.”

“There are a lot of memories attached to this festival, I remember our entire family comes together, sits and spends quality time with each other while enjoying traditional food as well as traditional activities. This is also the time when Gujarat hosts the kite flying festival, which I believe is surreal and something that one should definitely attend once in lifetime.”

“The best part of Uttarayan in Gujarat is that an evening before the festival, we all go out for shopping to buy clothes and kites and phirkis. On the day of the Uttarayan before we had the weather forecast, we used to go to the terrace every morning and check the wind conditions to ensure they are suitable to fly kites. There are some amazing memories related to this festival and I am looking forward to create many such amazing memories every year.”
