Talented actor Mohit Malik is one dedicated actor who has put in his heart and soul into his character Sikandar Singh Gill in Star Plus’ popular show, Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala produced by 4 Lions Films and Invictus T Mediaworks.
However, he feels that content on the small screen is at times considered below par and people get judgemental too soon.
Says Mohit, “Success does not come easy and there are lot of things that go into achieving it. I feel sad that at times people look down upon the medium of television. I don’t like it when people do this. But yes, the perspectives are changing right now. There is good content available on TV and we are happy that Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala has set an example for good content on TV.”
“Emotions work on TV and if you get it right, the show does well. It is about putting in that extra effort to achieve bigger things. I think people should stop making the same kind of stuff. We are at a time when people want to see different stuff. In Kullfi, we put in that extra effort into everything. We even work on our own music. There is nothing that is impossible. After all, we get paid well to deliver; so it is all about doing our work properly. Actually, I have nicknamed our show as ‘Shiddat’ as everyone in our team is so very dedicated to work,” he adds.
On the success of his show, he states, “Yes, Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala is getting popular with every passing day. People love the show a lot. And the reactions I get from people are huge. As an actor, it makes me happy and I am in a good space right now.”
The show has reached its first big phase wherein Kullfi has gotten to know of Sikander being her father. Ask him what can be expected now, and he states, “Well, the next revelation will be about Sikander knowning the truth. Let’s see when it comes. All I can say is that the show has just now started and there is a whole lot to come in the story.”
Way to go, Mohit. Keep up the god job.
